The Three's Tag

Three Joys:
1. My family
2. Being a mother. I love being able to be home during the day to watch Owen grow, and learn.
3. Quality time with Adam. Whether it be going for walks, or sitting in the temple hand-in-hand, or watching a movie together.

Three Fears:
1. I know this is a very common fear, but it's still one of mine. I have a great fear of anyone in my family getting into an accident. Not only with car accidents, but anything, really. I try not to stress out about this to the extreme, but it doesn't help that Owen is starting to climb stairs, and we have tile at the bottom. I just hope he isn't accident prone like Will-I think I would lose my mind trying to prevent everything-I don't want Owen to be a bubble boy-but it might come to that!
2. I know this is pretty crazy, but I ever since I was little I have had a fear that I won't get my footing right, and step onto the escalator in a way that I would fall all the way down it. So if you're ever behind me getting onto the escalator going down, please be patient; it just takes me a minute.
3. Spiders and Bugs! Any kind!

Three Goals:
1. Read my scriptures everyday!
2. Take more pictures!
3. Eat healthier, and stick with an exercise routine!

Three Obsessions:
1. The Twilight saga! Well, I'm probably the last girl on earth, but I just recently finished reading the three books in the Twilight series, and now I can't wait for #4 to come out! I'm glad I didn't start it until I did, though, because now I don't have to wait very long to see what happens with Bella and Edward!
2. Real Simple Magazine! I love every part of this magazine, so I am obsessed with finishing one month before I start any others. I'm a little behind, but I just want to enjoy each month in order!
3. Sleep. This is a recently developed obsession. Probably because I don't get enough of it, but I don't mind because I get to be home with Owen during the day!

Three Surprising Facts About Me:
I think I only have one of these, and it's not that exciting. I just changed what I do at the Bureau of Criminal Identification. So now instead of updating, and entering criminal information onto people's criminal histories, I do the background checks for, and issue Concealed Firearm Permits.

Three People I am Tagging"
1. Emily
2. Sarah

Happy Birthday Lauren!

Yesterday was Lauren's 21st birthday, and I wanted to wish her a happy birthday and tell her how much I love her! Lauren, thank you for being such a loving, caring sister. Thank you for always being willing to help, and for always being such a cheerful person. Everyone knows Lauren has a beautiful smile, and when she smiles it really does make everyone else feel good! Thank you for being such a great example to me! And thank you for taking such good care of Owen!! I hope you had a wonderful birthday! I love you!

Hiking up Big Cottonwood

A couple weeks ago Adam and I decided to take Owen on his first hike, and we invited Dallin to come along. We saw a moose along side the canyon road on the way up, and stopped to watch it. I don't know if Owen cared, but we thought it was fun to see! We had a good time, and I guess we wore Owen out because he fell asleep on the hike back down! He was so cute with his head bobbing up and down in the hiking backpack!

Owen's New Helmet!

This is Owen's helmet for the next few months. It will help change the shape of his head. He has Torticollis, which means a muscle in his neck is tight and he doesn't like to stretch it. He keeps his head turned the same direction when he's relaxed or sleeping because it's more comfortable for him. It has made the left side of his head kind of slope. The helmet is to help change that so that he will have a great shaped head!

It has definetly taken some getting used to for both Owen and us, but he does pretty well with it now. I feel so bad that he has to wear it for 23 hours a day during these HOT summer months, but we keep him cool and he doesn't mind. I know he won't remember it, but I hope the time will fly for his sake!
Owen looks so cute in it, but we get a lot of weird looks at the store! Sometimes it slides down, scunching his eyes to make him look like a mean baby, but we know he's still our sweet boy!!
