I took Owen to the zoo a little over a week ago with Emily and her kids. We had a good time! The only real excitement we got out of Owen was when he saw the monkeys. I think it's because all of the other animals were a little too far away, but the monkeys were close to the big windows and moved fast from tree to tree. Although, he liked watching the giraffe eat (as seen below), and I think he had a pretty good time! Owen also loved watching all of the kids that were at the zoo-they are all so entertaining! We'll have to take him next year when I think he might have a little more fun!

Just for Fun!
After seeing Jessie's blog, I wanted check out who my celebrity look-alikes are. And now I know!
I knew I have a little bit of an Asian looking eye, but I was kind of surprised to find that I look 83% Asian! I also knew I looked young (everyone always thinks that Lauren is a few years older than me,) but not Dakota Fanning young! I just think it's hilarious that I look like the cast of Lizzie McGuire (Hillary Duff, AND Lalaine,) and Gloria Estefan! It was funny to see who the computer says I look like anyway!
Adam's Celebrity Look-a-likes
I don't know about the whole Dwight D. Eisenhower thing, but I would have to totally agree about Adam looking like Kurt Russel! This is actually the second one I ran on Adam-different photos can bring up a few different celebs-well, on the first collage Condoleeza Rice was included!
Adam got a kick out of that!

Congratulations Adam!
Last night Adam received a letter that he has been anticipating for quite a while now. It was a letter from the Secret Service Headquarters offering him the student assistant position in the Salt Lake Office which he applied for a while ago. It has been a long process, but he is thrilled and I am so happy for him!
I am so proud of him, and especially proud of his patience! I love you and I know you will do a great job! Congratulations!
HALLELUJAH!
We got the best news at Owen's doctors appointment with Dr. Morales (the plastic surgeon) last Wednesday! Owen doesn't have to wear his helmet any more!! I was in shock because when he first got it we were told he was going to have to wear it until September-right before we go to Disneyland. I guess he grew so fast it just filled in all those places, and he's done! I am so happy-we can take Owen out in the sun without worrying that he has a magnifying glass on his head that will add at least 10 degrees to however hot it already is that day! Now he has to get used to not having a helmet on because he didn't mind hitting his head with it on, but he's seen what happens without it now. He found that while wearing his helmet he could sit by the fireplace and hit his head against it repeatedly and it would make a pretty neat sound! I guess he was just looking for the positive while having to wear it! I am so proud of Owen! He did so great during this whole time, and he is being rewarded by finishing with it early!! Actually all of us are being rewarded, because now I don't have to see little sweat beads under that plastic, making me feel like I'm torturing my little one.We are all so grateful he's done!

Now we can see his beautiful hair all the time!!! He has the perfect little noggin, and couldn't be sweeter!!! We love you Owen!
