Our Day Out with Thomas

We took Owen to A day out with Thomas at the Heber Valley Railroad over the weekend. It was a big hit. Owen loved seeing Thomas and riding on the train. There were a lot of activities set up, and he had a good time at those as well . While riding the train, the conductor, "Top Hat" as owen calls him, came around and gave everyone a Jr. Conductor certificate. Owen held on to his so tight, and kept stealing glances at it. As we were walking to the car, and later that night, as I was putting Owen to bed, he told me, "Mama, I have fun Thomas!" I just love that!

It was extremely windy, but that didn't slow us down one bit!

Owen getting his Thomas "Sticker" (I'm trying not to encourage tattoos by instead calling it a sticker)

The results:

One of Owen favorite activities. Playing with Thomas on the train set. And they had about four set up, so he was in heaven going from one to the next.

"All Aboard, Het's GO"-as Owen says.

Holding on tight to that certificate

After getting off the train Owen said, "I try gin nex week."

Spring, Spring, Spring

Owen and I attempted to fly a kite... It didn't work out so well.

We took Owen to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosuar Museum
and he loved it!

I caught him one of the MANY times he growled at the dinosuars

Owen did not like the part where the kids can play in the water and sand. He has always been sensitive to textures! He also had a hard time going into the area to "dig" for dinosaur bones, but we finally got him to go in. He's pretty funny!

This was the slide that Owen was stuck in. He couldn't climb up the back to the top, and all the other (older) kids were wizzing past. They had to pretty much pull themselves up by a rope. Adam had to finally go in and help him up. Poor guy!

Owen has been such a good boy at Adam's soccer games. He starts off getting excited about kicking the ball, then he thinks it's his turn out on the field, then he gets bored and starts asking to go play on the playground, and lastly he asked me to "turn daddy game off!"
But we've had fun watching daddy play!

This is the getting bored point of the game. What a cute boy!
