It's been a while

I thought I'd post some of the pictures I have been meaning to add.

In February-March Owen played indoor soccer, and loved it!
He scored a couple goals for both his team, and for the other team.  He was so excited about each of them and so were we!  Adam coached Owen's team and he did a great job.  He was so patient with the kids.  I would have gone crazy with all of those kids hanging on me and trying to grab my hand to dance, but Adam was nice and just encouraged them to go kick the ball!  It was so entertaining to watch both Owen and Adam. (I will add pictures once we get them put back on the computer.)

We also signed Owen up for spring outdoor soccer.  And Adam was his coach again.  This time was even better watching the little girls hang on Adam and try to give him hugs after the game.  He would just kind of stop them and just wave and say "bye".  It was so funny!  One even tried to give him a kiss.  Luckily he was standing up and she couldn't reach.  He said,"  We just blow kisses."
I had fun watching him react to those little girls!

Owen did great!  And he really felt like a big boy on an outdoor field.  I loved going to his games and I'm so proud of him!

Over Memorial Day weekend we took Owen to ride on Thomas at the Heber Valley Railroad.  He has continously asked us about riding Thomas again in Heber since last year's ride, so we knew he would love it again.  And it was worth the trip!  His face just lit up when the train started up and he loved meeting Sir Topham Hatt too!

Owen's face completely lit up when the train started going!

At the beginning of February construction started on our house!  And we really enjoyed watching every aspect of it get done week by week.  We moved in at the end of April and have LOVED having our own house more than we can say!  We are still getting things put together just the way we want them, but we feel very at home.  We really like our ward and really like living in a small community.

Owen has been enjoying all the bugs around our house!  He thought this caterpillar should come inside to sleep for the night.  We made it a nice bed inside the garage.

Owen's perfect form!  I loved this picture!  It shows how he completely soaks things in and then does it himself!  Such a smart boy!

And one last picture because Owen is so cute in his new sunglasses!

5 YEARS!

Adam and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary last Wednesday!  We were both really excited for this big anniversary and are excited for our gift for one another that will be ready in a few weeks!  YES!
I love Adam so much and appreciate everything he does for me.  He knows me and understands me better than anyone, and I don't know what I would do without him!

Happy 5th  Adam!  I love you!

December 2010

Owen's first time going to see Santa at the mall.  I thought he would be scared, but he did really well.  I couldn't hear what he told Santa that he wanted for Christmas, but I think it was a train.

Owen and Daddy playing in the snow

We took a trip downtown to see the lights, and met up with Lauren, Christopher and Mac.
We thought Owen might like to stay in the stoller all bundled up, but that was not going to happen.  He cannot stay cooped up!
Hitting the pinata at the Sweet family Christmas party.  There was also a pinata at the White family Christmas party and for a long time after those get togethers, whenever we told Owen we were going somewhere with family or friends he would ask if there was going to be a pinata and if Santa was going to be there. (Since Santa came to both parties as well.)
Christmas morning
Adam was showing Owen that Santa ate the cookies he left out for him.
Owen was a lot of fun this year.  It gets more and more fun each year as he realizes what's going on.  I love this face-  It's his whoa face!
My mom's Christmas morning breakfast.  To me this makes Christmas complete.  All that yummy food! Mmmm!
They are all getting so big!

My sisters and me.  I love them all so much!  And it's so fun when we are all together!
Christmas Day it had been exactly 5 years since the day Adam proposed to me.  I am so grateful for him in my life!
My parents and grandparents (Sorry dad, I think I caught you and grandma talking)
A couple days after Christmas we went to my cousin's wedding reception.  Adam said it was the BEST wedding reception he had ever been to.  It was held at the Real Salt Lake Club room.  So we got to see the championship trophy from last year, and some other things I don't know much about.  Adam was in heaven!
And while we were there Owen found out how to use the camera and is actually pretty good!
These are some of the pictures I found on my camera after.

This is how Owen has been drawing trains and cars lately.  I love it and I had to document it!

November

November was a big month for Adam's family.  He had one brother get married and the other left on his mission.  So the month was packed with family events.  They had an openhouse for Scot and Melissa here and then we traveled down to St George for the wedding and reception.  We're so excited for them and their future together.  And we're happy that Melissa is part of the Sweet family!

These boys are extremely hard to take a picture of.  The little ones are running, spinning, and pulling funny faces, and the older one with his eyes closed in all of them (Adam)  thought it would be funny just to keep his eyes closed for the whole photo shoot!  Oh, well!

Lauren and McIntosh were able to come along with us to St. George!
The weekend lots of fun!  We were so glad they could come hang out with us.

The very silly boys on our ride down south (they both desperately needed a nap, but were so excited
to be together they couldn't stop entertaining each other.  There were lots and lots of giggles!  And if you know Owen, lots of fake burps!  Crazy boy!)

Waiting for breakfast

At the reception

Another big event:  Owen turned 3!

Owen at his birthday party

Owen wanted a birthday hat at the very last second, so I folded a piece of paper and stapled it.  He was happy with it, so it worked!

He loved his train but wasn't so happy about me taking a picture of it!

Owen is definetely getting older and thinks he gets everything his way! He is learning so much, loved primary once we got him to sit with his class and is very excited to play indoor soccer next month!
Owen loves to read books, play in the snow, go sledding, watch "Toy Story 3 with the train" with his Toy Story train and all of the figurines of the characters, and he still loves pizza! He has recently developed a love for apples after watching Georgia, Wally, and Will eat them while staying at Grandma's during Christmas.

We love Owen so much! He is hilarious and makes us laugh everyday!

The other day we were driving to the store when Owen gasped and said "Oh! I forgot to put water in my eyes!" He has said something about this once before, but I didn't really think about it much. Then after he said it in the car I realized what he was talking about. Adam wears contacts and Owen watches him put them in. He usually has contact solution dripping as he puts them in, so Owen thinks he is putting water in his eyes, and Owen thinks he needs to do the same.

Dallin left on his mission.  He will be in the MTC for another couple of weeks and then off to L.A.  We are excited for him, but Owen sure misses him!  He will be a great missionary and was ready to go since the day he got his call, if not sooner!  We love you Dallin!
Dallin passing the missionary baton to Christina

A last birthday picture, I just loved it so much!
Last but not least, getting ready for Christmas with a little decorating of Santa's house.
